It is unsubsidised, meaning it does not have to be plugged into the phone line to work. This would make an excellent upgrade/replacement for your old digibox. It can also be used as an extra receiver or FTA box. Alternatively, it can be used in Europe for the free channels available on the Sky broadcast system. British based users can use this box as a Freesat receiver.
